FFox and .htm files

How ffs can I associate *.htm files permanently to FFox as a XP USER?

As admin it works fine for both, *.html and *.htm files, but in the User account only *.html files are properly connected to FF and it seems I cannot change the *.htm association from IE to FF.

Firefox doesn't even show in the right-clickers program list and when I try to use "Open With/Choose Prg ... and select firefox.exe manually from the DIR, *.htm files are still opened with IE.

And, yes, FF is my Default browser and IE definately not.

I already did a google search, but can't find anything useful.

Help anyone?

open my computer and goto tools/folder options/file types and change the association.

thx, but I can't change anything in the filetype options with restricted users rights. I gave that user admin rights to change the file type association. Since then the .htm files have no association at all but still open with IE. That's weird.

I found a thread in the FF support forums which says it must have something to do with the bugly way FF registers itself to the system and /or the remains of previous FF versions. I cleaned some old shit out of the registry and now at least Firefox shows up in the 'Open With' menu.

Thats quite ok for me instead of doubleclicking.
