PB client is DISABLED, now toggling

I got a problem i cannot get to fix...
i change into my Quake4Config
seta sv_punkbuster "1"
seta cl_punkbuster "1"

They are both set to 1, and when i start the game and i go into the multiplayer menu, PUNKBUSTER is disable and i cannot click with the mouse to enable it....!!!!!

after that when i go back into my config, they are back to 0....
whats wrong ???

I have also another message saying that; pbcl.dll is not a valid window image and
violation (comfail) #133 no packet flow

i have just reinstall the game, its not a copy...

A friend of mine has this problem too, because he disabled Punkbuster to begin with. I never disable Punkbuster so I haven't had this problem.

Did that too, but still have this ;

pbcl.dll is not a valid window image

on punkbuster forum, thay told me to ask someone to send me there own PB folder...if someone could send me there PB folder, that would be nice...

OK im back in business....it was a corrupt file or something like that...

but there is something about the PB SETUP program, now into the game menu, punkbuster is enable and i can connect to any punkbuster server without any problem, but if i use the PB SETUP program to update manually, it still give me that error;
pbcl.dll is not a valid window image

so PB SETUP is not a option for me anymore...
