You can get the demo free. The other versions will cost money. Albeit not much. Around $9 USD I think.

IF you didn't have the disk, then it was a warezed version. Legally, you can't get the full version free.

Well, you can buy Quake 3, or you can buy a dictionary. Either one is good.
