ah i fricking LOVED bubba ho-tep - i'd give it an 8/10 personally :)

outrageous movie and sufficiently dark that you could take it somewhat seriously.

I was going to post something dumb like 11/10, but this movie is 1 of the 2 best movies I've ever seen. I'd say the best, but I'm sure there's another I'm not thinking of...

If you're thinking of Amélie of Montmartre, then yeah, that movie is brilliant.
If you want to get technical, I'm talking about Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain

He he, I just made a search at imdb with just the word Amélie and our little pearl of a movie was the only real hit.
I didn't mean to patronize you, I was just uncertain wether there might have been another movie titled just "Amélie".

The Matador (2005 with pierce brosnan)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365485/

8/10 - surprisingly good. Hilarious, quirky, and no one-dimensional characters.

been meaning to watch that, just because it was a gilliam thing, the concept sounded pretty terrible.

Battlestar Galactica (Season One): picked up the box set the other day. So far I've watched the 3 hr mini-series and the first ep. and it's pretty good if I do say so my damn self. 7/10

i would give it an 8/10. if it wasn't for the odd shitty episode i would have given it a 9/10.

season 2 has been really good so far. minus the odd filler episode that has really nothing to do with the overall plot. maybe they need these for character development, i dunno.

AY SAA EH MUVY IT VAS BAED.

Starship Troopers 2 :puke:

The first one was brilliant, I give the second one 4/10, and only because of the nude scene.

So Battlestar Galactica - is the mini-series separate from the season one box? I just ordered the season one box, do I need to order the mini series too?

EDIT: apparently not, the miniseries disc is the first disc in the season one box

A Bittersweet Life 7/10

Not bad, there wasn't much to think about and it didn't seem to be trying to be 'deep', but at other times it would throw odd 'metaphorical' crap in your face which went against the simple grindfest which overall it suceeded in being.
