I have 2 computer connected to a Netgear router. Everything worked fine untill now. All of a sudden, without any changes or downloads, the 2nd computer started to recieve like 3 packets and send maybe 91 or so. The computer I'm using right now sends and recives somewhere in the hundred thousands. The programs that require internet access dont work. Firefox for example, doesn't even execute when I click on it. Limewire just sits there at the loading screen, and Aim cant even get to the sign on screen.
Like 3 hours ago it was working fine, and now its dead.
I looked on some other forums, and it seems as though I need to automatically detect my IP, but I already turned that on.
2nd Computer receiving low packets

OK, this is werid.
Today when I came home I turned on my computer, and everything worked fine. AIM and firefox are working and I'm sending an receiving a lot more than before. I did not do anything to my computer, and I restarted my computer many times during the time it DID happen, so I'm not sure whats going on.
I don't know too much about computers, but I just recently bought a Radeon 9600 pro 8xagp off my friend for $35 just for my older 2nd computer. I've been having a lot of problems with GTA SA and BF2. They just randomly crash, and usually with no error report. Sometimes, they will restart the whole computer. Could my recent computer troubles be from my Radeon?
2nd computer specs:
AMD Atlon 2700+
120gb
512mb PC2700 ram
AGP 8x
52x CD drive
Integrated Geforce 4mx
Currently using Radeon 9600 pro with latest Cat drivers.
Of course, the game problems could just be some type of compatibility issue, but could the card itself cause my network / app problems?
Seeing how I didn't have my 2nd computer on for the last 15+ hours, could it be overheating?

Not likely. Windows's driver infrastructure doesn't quite work like that. Does the computer as a whole get sluggish?JooKed wrote:Of course, the game problems could just be some type of compatibility issue, but could the card itself cause my network / app problems?
Possibly. What's the average temperature of your CPU, GPU, etc.?JooKed wrote:Seeing how I didn't have my 2nd computer on for the last 15+ hours, could it be overheating?
