Router worked fine before, now no one can connect to my game

Post by I cant spell u »

I restored windows today and set everything up. When I changed my IP back to 192.168.1.103 like it was before the applications wouldn't work. I changed my IP to 192.168.1.104 and all the applications to 192.168.1.104 but still doesn't work.

1) Make sure you're using a static address.
2) If you're using a software firewall make sure the correct ports are open on it too. XP's firewall is on by default so that could quite possibly be the problem.

Refer to your other thread to set this up. Gramps answered this already. Make sure the IP you set it to is the same one that your router is forwarding ports to.

What do you mean by "changing the applications"?

Which type of a server are you trying to host? I'll dig you up a walkthrough on which ports should be forwarded.

Well at first it was Duke Nukem 3D, the xDuke aka rancid 19.6 port over dukesterx. My friend and I played it the other day before the restore but after he couldn't connect so we tried Doom 2 with GZDoom over player connector which we could also play before and that wouldn't work.
