even though i can crush you with my vast knowledge on the matter I will not waste the time on someone who i know has no real knowledge on the subject as I already spend a great deal of energy trying to discuss stuff like this with people that have PhDs.
Even within the modern warfare community where I follow the leading arguements on certain areas as a hobby there is nothing to debate about if China will lose to the USA "if" there was a 100% UNCONVENTIONAL war because its a matter of fact based on current conditions. The only debate remains in this area is how costly would it be for the USA to carry on such a war and what would be the most efficient method the USA should go about fighting. And even this is a very minor area of debate because it is pretty moot since there can never be a conventional war since both are nuclear powers.

I dont really talk about my life on these dumb forums but I have a BA in military studies from AMU and currently working at a masters while living off my earnings from a lawsuit and a few contracts as a programmer so screw off nooblet as its obvious you dont know what youre talking about.

Wow, Captain Mazda and stocktroll completely lost any thread of credibility they might have had to begin with in this thread. Thank god it wasn't much.

Holy arrogance, batman!
I don't know anything about warfare and I don't pretend to. But since you seem to think of yourself as an expert, let me call you out on your earlier post. You claimed foot soldiers to be obsolete, but they play a very important role in any warfare. Most importantly, as a form of psychological warfare. China can launch missles at me all they want, and I can hide. I'd have a harder time hiding from a troop of dude with guns flushing me out of my home. Fear plays a big part of war.

You need to find a more current military studies course. Did you forget that Israel has been selling them OUR weapons technologies behind our back?

And outright saying that anyone will win a conventional war without any qualifiers is a completely ridiculous statement to begin with. I guess we won in Vietnam too, right?

Hmm, let's see.... He says he's a rebel from Iran, has been studying warfare in western establishments, and has said he wants Israel destroyed - all this after saying the CIA isn't monitoring this site so we can say what we want...

You guys think we should have him put on a terrorist watch list?

Here in the real world of metal manufacturing in the USA. Parts my company lost to China two years ago, never to be built by us again, are now being built by us again.

Hmmph, wonder why?

Just an observation. And now commercial business is good again.

WW2 Germany and Hitler's regime has been the subject of a research project I've been working on for about a 1-2 months now.

As I was reading this quote I was thinking to myself "this sounds eerily Hitler-esque"
I was kinda surprised that the quote was actually from a book written in the 1930's lol.

Good read

Good read, reminded me of this joke.

WORLD WAR III IS COMING

President Bush and Rumsfeld are sitting in a bar.

A guy walks in and asks the barman, "Isn't that Bush and Rumsfeld sitting over there?"

The bartender says, "Yep, that's them."

So the guy walks over and says, "Wow, this is a real honor! . What are you guys doing in here?"

Bush says, "We're planning WW III."

And the guy says, "Really? What's going to happen?"

Bush says, "Well, we're going to kill 140 million Muslims and one blonde with big tits."

The guy exclaimed, "A blonde with big tits? Why kill a blonde with big tits?"

Bush turns to Rumsfeld and says, "See, I told you no one CARES about the 140 million Muslims".

I like that joke because it is both funny and tragically unfunny.

I've never seen the Hitler/clown one.. Can you post it?

China can launch missles at me all they want, and I can hide. I'd have a harder time hiding from a troop of dude with guns flushing me out of my home. Fear plays a big part of war.
what would China's standing army do after a barrage of missles destroying all of their military infrastructure, all their planes, all their ships? They certainly cannot try to go on the offensive and attack and will be stuck on the mainland trying to defend China from land invasion. But that requires massive troop mobilization and any large clusters of troops at a fixed position will be easily destroyed like sitting ducks. Sure they can all dissolve the army hide into the cities our countryside like punks and try and do guerrila warfare once the USA goes in, but at that point, they have technically already lost the war as far as a "USA vs China" perspective.
And while we're speaking hypothetically what if the USA just bombs out Chinese cities killing civilians and soldiers alike as what we did against Japan? The Japanese is a perfect example of how a modern war will turn out as they were the last to try and fight the USA in a nation vs nation war. They still had a standing army to defend a land invasion but surrendered without the US having to send in troops. But now the USA has conventional capabilities that are light years away while China is stuck with its ~7k rusty tanks, ~3.5K ancient planes, and < 200 submarines and ships that the US coast guard can destroy. Their SAM/AAA may be a problem but no way can it outshine the USA's systems.
And guess what? for the past 5 years or so China has been cutting down their army to invest in the high tech stuff because even they know a couple million of soldiers with preWW2 era--1970's weapons aint going to mean nothing when a cruise missle somes flying at them. Maybe in the next 6-10 years the capabilities will be different

Even your leaders have been shocked and very concerned at how fast China's military is modernizing and how much more efficient it is becoming. It's membership in the SCO and its increasing ties with Russia are quickly bringing about a major power shift in that part of the world. This is just the beginning but, by all means, if it makes your little ego feel better continue to keep your head in the sand.

olo u think u can lecture me about Chinese advances in their military structure?
thats one of the things i study and i think that just maybe, "just" maybe i may have a clearer clue on where they stand at the moment and their projected progress and the USA is still the only military super power of coventional and nuclear capabilities today

sure i can throw a flood of dates, numbers, and fancy acronyms at you but i wont bother since you are so much of an expert yourself

i got a fool proof plan for world war 3

when they come round, knocking saying ive been drafted, im going to hop in a wheel chair and start dribbling like a spastic

theyll be all like "sorry, didnt realise you were tard"

now... they could draft me to be a new type of regiment

like spastic suicide bombers regiment of wales (guaranteed to be biggest regiment in the UK)

in which case i shall recover just enough to perform light duties down the hospital, where, i shall save blair and bush from near death and become a hero

the end.
