This thread is giving me flashbacks of the news reports on UK television when the Sikh community in Birmingham got their knickers in a twist of a play being staged at a local theatre. They didn’t condemn the play in a civil manner, instead they decided to trash the building and send death threats to the playwright – this article on the Guardian homepage captures it in a nutshell.
People will always use their fatih as a reason to be anally retentive no matter what that faith may be.

Yep, there are a lot of Kurds here in Nashville and I've met a quite a few in different places.raw wrote:For the record, the Muslims you see portrayed on TV are a discrace to the Muslim religion. If you've ever met a true Muslim you'd know they are good people who believe in the same things as Christians and Jews but the only dispute is over Jesus. They all believe in some form of 'God'.
Bought a car from one guy who said 17 people from his family had been killed by Saddam, so he's still glad we invaded Iraq no matter how bad we fucked it up.
I got a cab home one evening and chatted with the driver til we got to my place. I had to run inside to grab some cash and when I came out he was doing his prayers in my driveway. It almost made me laugh, just the randomness of it, but it was one of those things that made me think "Hey, it's pretty cool we live in a place like this -- even in the current state of things in this country, this guy knows he can practice his religion wherever he wants and it's his right to do it."
Of course my driveway was private property so I could have kicked him off it, but that's beside the point.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to dismiss my statements by labeling me as things I'm not and never will be. Hey, I hate the Israelis having so much influence over my government, gonna call me an anti-Semite next?ek wrote:olo finally NS comes out as a redneck hillbilly that he is.
I've met more arabs than most people I know, and many of them were muslims. I fully appreciate the sphinctoids I see on TV are the fundamentalist minority, but I don't see any other religion doing the shit that they do. When was the last time you saw a Southern Baptist strap on a dynamite vest?

Ya wtf is that about? Ministers are supposed to be forgiving, not call out for ill will against people, even if they did offend them. These guys are retards.R00k wrote: As long as religious leaders continue to encourage this kind of behavior, there's no reason to expect it to stop.
"Thousands of Palestinians demonstrated this week in the Gaza Strip, burning Danish flags and portraits of the Danish prime minister.
Saudi Arabia has recalled its ambassador to Denmark, while Libya said it was closing its embassy in Copenhagen and Iraq summoned the Danish envoy to condemn the cartoons. "
That is the part that scares me, people should not be protesting because someone else talks trash or whatever about their religion. And countries most certainly should not be taking actions based on religious squabbling. Just goes to show that these people take that shit way to seriously.
now why is it some people are not attracted to Islam??Captain Mazda wrote: Go to hell, damn racist mofos. I hope black people kill all of you.
