Play Quake 3 with the dreamcast players? People still play it online with the dreamcast and I guess you can still play with them on the pc if you do a few things. Anyone here do it still?

I don't think so. It's not really fair either because they're limited to using a controller and a dialup connection (afaik) instead of kb+mouse and a broadband DSL/Cable connection.

There are mice and keyboards for the DC. Furthermore, you can play over DSL if you hook it up through a router.

To answer the original question: several years ago, I played the then-reigning DC king and smashed him twenty-something to zero. The skill level in the 1.16/DC scene is pretty low.

There are about 50 dc servers left now, most of them in Spain. Afaik, there dosen't seem to be anyone playing it anymore.

I am of the belief that q4 killed both q3 and q4 but had absolutely no effect on the q2 community.

nah, i know a lot of q2 players that moved on to CSS, FEAR, WoW, etc after q4 bombed.
