It lasted for more than one season. I think like 4 or 5 but I don't remember off-hand. Seeing as I grew up with those characters as men, I think it's a lot of reason to not like it as much.

Like I said, the new one is very pretty and has a better organized plotline, but Starbuck and Boomer as chicks ruins it for me. It'd be like if somebody characterized Geoffy as a girl...

Nope, the original Battlestar lasted only one season. Check tvtome.com.

As for me, Starbuck and Boomer being female seems better- it makes the cast a lot more balanced than it was on the original series and allows for far more interesting interaction between characters.

long story short, all you really seem to have is a faded memory of the orig series just like me, so let go and enjoy this new show. its fucking brilliant.

Well, a few months ago, I rented the complete series from Netflix, seemed like there was more episodes to make more than one season, which is what probably made me think it ran longer. Used to watch it right after Buck Rogers.

Having said that, I still hold my position though. My memory isn't faded enough to feel that one of my favorite characters from the original series should be a chick.

I'll say it one more time. I don't dislike the new show. Just don't like what they did to the characters, which makes it less interesting to me.

Except perhaps for the Cylons, who i thought looked like clumsy 60's robots. Still beats the shit out of the original though.

right click > play in real player

then fullsize real player
