Yeah, Islam can pretty much fuck right off
which is more important? To preserve freedom of speech, in my opinion.
Those who do not support free speech - despite being educated as to its nature and implications - can go get fucked.
If free speech requires the death of some backwards albeit widespread religion, so be it. I'll accept that cost. Islam never did jack shit for me, and I genuinely believe anyone who follows the religion, indeed any religion, to be deluding themselves.

You're personifying the problem that lies at the core of the debate. Several people in this thread and others have called Israel out as a bunch of sneaky, underhanded cunts. But, because we're not chanting "FUCK ISRAEL! TEAM ALLAH RULES!" and ignoring all the other points that aren't pro-Islam then we're all just assholes.Captain Mazda wrote:In that case don't say anything to me when I say the truth about Israel.
Don't get mad, get glad. Then get fucked.
This makes you a douche of the first magnitude.

Oh yeah I know, but I choose to believe that people who would burn down buildings due to a piece of paper with a bit on ink on it, are not educated enough to use the internet.
Nobody who uses the internet should be able to maintain the kind of close mindedness that these fanatics represent, or go through forums such as this and not get some kind of mental toughness that would make them immune to the kinds of responses we are seeing.
These people who would kill at an insult, arrest journalists on charges of blasphemy, and believe that killing civilians will bring about change are little more the angry savages, angry that they have become a backward, scared, and marginalized group which has little to no real impact on the world unless it is through the mindless violence that they can perpetuate.
I WANT to believe Captain Mazda is a troll, because I do not want to accept that someone with access to as many opinions, points of view, and different thoughts as the internet can provide would still be stuck in the socially, culturally, and internationally retarded mindset of a fanatical, fundamentalist, muslim.

Most of the problems in the middle east, even the 911 attacks stem from this bullshit Israel/palestinian problem. And they accuse the palestinians of being extremist? WEll, Ariel Sharon is a fucking extremist, alongside with every Israeli Prime Minister that came out of that extremist Likud party. And yeah it was hip to say, I hope Yasser ARafat dies, well I hope that extremist sharon dies too very soon. Im sorry, but Israeli tanks and bombs paid with US taxpayer money vs. a handful of homemade bombs is not a fair fight.
No it isnt a fair fight, its a hopeless fight. So why bother? Wouldnt a nonviolent protest achieve the same success if not more?
Who supports palestinians? Anyone? If these protests are rooted in the conflict as you say, then why are there not tanks supporting the palestinians? Troops? Fighters?
If aid for them cannot be won in battle, why not accept your muslim brothers into the arab states around isreal?

South Africans beat Apartheid eventually... they didn't have shit except a inspirational leadership, a youth movement tired of doing everything peacefully, coordination and eventually international support.lebomb wrote:Most of the problems in the middle east, even the 911 attacks stem from this bullshit Israel/palestinian problem. North Vietnam didn't have shit except unity and an enemy that was not as committed to victory. Don't mention the Soviets or China because the Chinese for all practical purposes hated the Vietnamese communists and the USSR barely contributed anything relative to what the US spent.
If the Palestinians had the proper coordiation and leadership, none of those US bombs and planes would matter. Instead they're divided and fragmented. I'm sure you heard the old proverb that "a house divided against itself cannot stand."

Nice reductionist argument: assuming that all Muslims are Arab all Arabs are Muslim. Although you didn't phrase it that way, that's what your suggestion amounts to. You should learn a thing or two about ethnicity, religion and nationalism.jester! wrote:If aid for them cannot be won in battle, why not accept your muslim brothers into the arab states around isreal?
No shit retard, that's why I brought it up. The fact that they beat the US is irrelevant in the context of this discussion. The fact that a powerful foe can be beaten is relevant, which you seem to have just ignored.lebomb wrote:Im glad you mention North Vietnam. They beat the US silly in that invasion they did a few years ago, tet style. And the americans still dont learn, still invading countries. Its sad.
Newsflash: War is not fair. Show me a fair war and I'll show you a stalemate. It was called the Cold War, perhaps you remember it.
To be honest I dont know much about the area, as it really didnt have much of an impact on my life to this point in northern alberta. However I assumed that since this is all "from this bullshit Israel/palestinian problem" and that its muslims who currently have a problem, and that the nations around Isreal all want it gone, that there could be some kind of mutual ground reached between them and the palestinians in the form of aid/support/whatever.Dave wrote: Nice reductionist argument: assuming that all Muslims are Arab all Arabs are Muslim. Wasn't, aren't or won't? You say that Palestinians are fighing an unfair fight. I say it doesn't matter and I give two contemporary examples when the underdog eventually won against all odds. If the fight is unfair, it's because the Palestinians lack the unity that was key to the final decolonization of Vietnam and victory against Apartheid.
