Intel VIIV

Post by obsidian »

Anyone know what this is exactly? How does this differ from their normal technology? I've been looking for information on this but can't seem to find anything useful. Intel claims VIIV technology is optimized for multimedia, but doesn't actually say what it has that makes it better.

"certified" Viiv technology? that'll probably carry as much weight as THX certification does now.

It's mostly a marketing trick to make people buy Intel stuff instead of AMD.

Thanks for the info. So it seems as if VIIV is just a pretty sticker that some manufacturers can stick on the front of their PCs and not really anything more. Disappointing. I was hoping it would be something interesting to read about.
