Billy boy technically can't put "SIR" in front of his name. I'm pretty sure that's reserved only for the Brittish.

He will remain plain Mr Gates because the title “Sir” can be used only by British citizens. He may, however, use the letters KBE — Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire — after his name.
I guess that make truth of my though, heh.

I wonder if the queen asked for a loan after. ;)
