Creating demo segments

There is a way of chopping off parts of a demo isn't there? Like, if something really cool happens in the last 15 seconds of a match, you can cut off everything but the last 15 seconds, correct?

How is this done? Recording a demo of the last 15 seconds while the full demo is playing back?

Please, no "Use fraps, etc" replies, I'd like to know how it's done with the demos themselves.

The solution that comes to mind is to record the demo server-side with a mod like UFT, play it back and record a client-side demo of the part you want.

I've seen an OSP demo segmented. How could this have been done?

Easy, using a mod called SDC. You can record demos off a demo. I use it to chop off my frags for my movie.

Way too much. I'm keepin my pace, and I hope the final result will be worth the watch.
I have pretty good content, with several 3x's and a 4x.. We'll see how it ends up.
