.net runtime errors

I'v been getting these a lot latley:Event ID 1000

Faulting application drwtsn32.exe, version 5.1.2600.0, faulting module dbghelp.dll, version 5.1.2600.2180, fault address 0x0001295d.

Event ID 1000=.NET Runtime Failed to load - 3GB address space not supported.

I'll also get a few M$ Visual C++ Runtime errorswhen trying to install a application:( random apps nothing specific ) .net 1.1 borked?

These also: Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module xvid.ax, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0003d928.

2.0 is out now so it wouldn't hurt to start by upgrading to it.

Thats odd: I went to the update site and it had the .net 1.1 to d/l so I tried to get it but I get the following:

I know I have it cause my cat drivers won't work without it.
