mp3s streaming with quicktime

Ever since I updated QT, mp3s that I stream from websites or mp3s that I click on which are uploaded to my ftp are getting played on a blank web page with quicktime. It used to open WMP, which I prefer. I've checkd the options in QT and mp3 isn't ticked. How can I get WMP back to open streams?

Open WMP: Tools > File Types > Select mp3

That was already selected.
Tools/Options/File Types/MP3 audo file ( mp3).
In fact everything is ticked except AIFF audio file (aiff)

You can also check your browser if you use Firefox: Tools > Options > Downlads tab > View and Edit Actions button

Also, My Computer: Tools > Folder Options > File Types tab
