Another Cellphone Thread
So I'm thinking about joining the 21st century and getting a cellphone. My only stipulations are I do not want an open-faced phone and I'd like to keep it below $400.
I'd remain a cave man but since I'm going to be at GDC and E3 I'll need something to communicate with other people while I'm there. Any recs?

Get some walkietalkies dude.
You could stand in a corner observing the area, and when you want to contact your friends you casually whip out your device and snag the antenna with your teeth and go like: 'This is black goose, the package has arrived' or something similar, and it'll look supercool.

Go for the V3x if anything. (2 megapixels).Jackal wrote:I'm in Canada, but yeah, I've been looking at a Razr.feedback wrote:In the US, razr's are usually free with a plan and they're fun to fuck around with

Here's mine, Sony Ericson k750i I paid around £140. It also has the 2mp camera and built in memory card slot (sony memory stick duo) so you can stick more mp3s and whatever on it to listen to.
Quick pic I took on the camera, outside my house:

Pretty good saying it was dark too.

Samsung D600 and Sony W800i are the best cell phones right now.
If you don't mind carrying a brick around, you could also look at the W900i. It makes a cool sound when you open it and has 470 MB integrated memory plus Memory stick.
So it's even better than the first two I mentioned, but it really is huge.

I've had the Samsung d500 for the last year, and in March i'll be upgrading my contract to the D600. only thing i dont like about it so far is it IS a bit naff looking compared to the D500
But it has a lot more feature wise and a lot of the bullshit stuff has been fixed up (Stupid obvious shit like not being able to have custom message tones).
