question bout strafejumping

Hey guys. I'm brand new at this whole trickjumping thing and really quake altogether. I've had the game for about 2 months because my comp can't handle q4. I was just wondering, is it possible to change directions in midair? Like to be able to fly around corners and keep going? I was watching a video and this guy captured a flag in like 7 seconds cuz he was weaving through the map like a friggin squirrel. maybe point me in the right direction of a tutorial. also, I'm having trouble playing back demos. it says illegible server message when i click on the demo i want to play and says "cl_parseservermessage" thnx in advance

in vq3 physics no you can't. You were probably watching cpma movie.

This is actually one reason why i prefer vq3 - it respects the laws of physics more - cpma acts as if you had jet thrusters which allow you to change your velocity (directional component) much more fluidly.

Now don't get me wrong - there's a deep skill to cpma movement, and u'll find that cpma players excel in vq3 movement.

thnx for the reply. but now i have another question. i dled cpma and now right when i join a cpma server, it kicks me and says "wrong client" in the top lefthand corner. what do i do?!!?

Do you have the latest Q3 Point release 1.32 and the latest version of CPMA (which 1.32 as well) with all maps?
