Good documentary about punk rock

Post by Clauz »

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0446765/

Caught it on IFC this morning. It's a pretty in depth look at the American punk rock movement that started in the early 70s. There's a fair amount of compare/contrast with the British punk rock movement as well. Pretty damn well made and some great interviews (Jello Biafra, Tommy Ramone, Henry Rollins, Chrissie Hynde, David Johansen, Legs McNeil and Jim Jarmusch).

Yeah, they talked about more hardcore punk like Black Flag, Dead Kennedys and Fugazi. They also touched on the transition to Nirvana and on to the "punk rock" we have today.
