Metal Bands

Post by SOAPboy »

So.. im actually looking for something to listen to.. odd..

Anyways, looking for metal like At the gates, Heaven shall burn, in flames, stuff like that..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

If you're specifically looking for bands with the Gothenburg sound then:

Dark Tranquillity
Soilwork (not their last 2 albums, they suck)

Both good reccomendations. I can't say I really like this type of metal, apart from In Flames, but try:

Celldweller
The Devin Townsend Band
Fear Factory?
Killswitch Engage
Lamb of God
Samael
Strapping Young Lad
Misery Loves Co.

Some different bands you could try:
Susperia
Sirenia
The Kovenant
Slayer
Rhapsody \o/
Opeth
Old Man's Child
Finntroll
Candlemass
Anathema

Entombed's Wolverine Blues is generally considered one of the best album of it's genre.

I don't know shit about metal bands, other than that I agree with Eraser in that they have pretty laughable names.

Anyway, I have this CD sitting in front of me:
Mastadon - Leviathan

It's pretty good. Lots of growling and yelling and so forth.

Neurosis kick ass, and anyone that is into metal would probably like them.

I suppose if you wanted to listen to "real" metal check out...

Death
Candlemass
Dissection
Iron Maiden (I guess this would be obvious)
Morbid Angel
Opeth
Nile
Sabbat (Japanese Black Metal, good stuff ;) )
Vader
Venom

Just beware, the majority of those bands have a million other bands that try sound like them, so you can easily start to get sick of hearing it.

Scientific Remote Viewing

In 1982 a new way
Of spying was conceived
Using psychic warfare
They view the enemy
Divulging information as they pleased
From a new technique called
Scientific remote viewing
Astral projection was achieved
Tapping into ESP.
Seeing thinks the mind should never see
Broken down into a basic protocol
A special form of meditation
To be used by you and me someday
Fate
Strange what they uncovered
A research team discovered
This gift of sight
Viewing UFOs, Jesus Christ, pyramids on mars.
Luminous spears fly from star to star
Sub-space beings
The Lucifer rebellion
The future of man
The galactic federation.
Cattle mutilation
Human abduction
Martians and grays
Living here amongst
Who would believe them?
If they told you what they saw?
Would you believe?
Or think they belong in a mental home?
Believe.
