I again played through HL2...but this time I gave myself the shotgun right at the start.

I blasted Breen in the face while he sat in his office (during the first teleport...which broke the game) and I also fufilled a life-long dream: turning that little fuck Lamar into a smear on the wall with the weapon's double-shot secondary fire.

They both got it all....right in the face.

This is one of the fastest (in terms of player/enemy movement) fps I've played. Good atmosphere too - creepy.

Also (the more I play the more I keep editing this), I'm playing through as a marine and it seems like the aliens spawn randomly. Or at least spawn in spots behind you because I can go back through a hallway/room that I completely cleared out and there's like 3 new ones there waiting for me. It kind of adds to the atmosphere knowing there's some behind you. They fucking give chase too.
AvP is fucking awesome. AvP gold also rocks, AvP2 sucks.

Oh, I've been playing gold actually, I didn't realize there was a difference between AvP and AvP Gold, I just figured it was a re-release or something. Maybe I'll have to get AvP too.

I was addicted to Ridge Racer for the PSP... I'm currently going through the Max Tour, kinda difficult but I guess it would be against a cheating computer...

It seems if Breen doesn't finish his speech the game doesn't progress past that one shot in the teleport sequence. I also tried it later again (in the same teleport sequence) where Breen was talking to the Combine....I blasted him before he finished speaking and the game didn't continue.

There's no consequences for splattering Lamar...the game events still work.

This is a good thing considering Lamar deserves to die on principle.

Fucking god damn max tours... They go faster than you, and when you use nitros they still seem to be able to go faster even with no nos on... Max tour was fucking hard... (that is the lat one yeah? Ex was the one before right). I got a few in and just gave in, way to hard for me.
