DIet Cherry Coke

Post by Foo »

Couldn't find a can pic, so on a related note I found this ancient Cherry Coke can design.

The new cherry diet coke tastes like dirt, which is a shame cause we just bought loads. If this is what I have to endure to lose some weight, fuck it. I'll stay porky.

No sugar no point, sadly.

You don't have to endure that to lose weight.

Give diet sodas 1 week and don't cheat. You'll get used to it. If/when you try a regular soda you'll be disgusted at how syrupy thick it is.

Stock up on some diet Barq's. It's a great regular->diet transition soda.

I switched to nothing but water a year or so ago and never looked back. Foods just taste so much better with water once you get used to it. I find myself drinking a ton of it at home and it feels great. :o

Have you ever tried Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi or Diet Dr. Pepper? Thought they were good, but I'm sticking to just water because it's too easy to start drinking too much soda.

I'm off Dr Pepper for good. It's just too sickly.

The cherry coke thing isn't a big deal either, in seriousness. I drink mebbe a can a day and am working towards zero. About 18 months ago I was on a 2-litre bottle of Irn Bru per day which was fucked up.

Seriously, water ftw. And the best thing is when you need a clean rinse of the mouth just sip a mouthload and shake. Gets rid of all the sticky feeling you might of had from just eating something.

That is indeed an old school can.

I do however remember the can they used before that, it was pastel purple with little cherries all over it. :icon14:

Edit: Word

...They recenly changed it again btw.

They did a transition from that can you've got pictured to the one I found by having the old design shrink-wrapped onto the can, and you could peel it off to find the new design.

Just drink water tubby, or as a small "cheat" add a lemon slice per pint of water.

I did the same about three months ago, except for 1-2 cups of coffee per day.

Water vs. lemonade, water vs. lemonade. Hey, here's an idea: drink juice, doesn't taste bland and isn't 50% sugar.

This one has 120mg of calcium, too.

Sugar free drinks that use the aspartane sweetner (which is most of them) have recently found to be carcinogenic.

These days nearly everything man-made causes cancer...

Splenda causes diareah (sp) with some people..

Personally, i like splenda, but yeah, know a few people who just explode after eating/drinking it
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Yes the diet black cheery coke is fucking vile. Normally I can stomach any drink but i took one mouthfull of this poison and threw the bottle away. BLARGH@!

It's a shame because normal Cherry Coke is the own.

I've been drinking nothing but diet since august and I really don't mind it at all. I like to alternate my choices between:

Pepsi Vanilla
A&W Root Beer
Cherry Coak
Dr Pepper

I hate the people who trivialize drinking diet soda too. Considering I tend to drink ~60 ounces of it a day I'm saving myself over 500 calories. True, it would be better to drink water but I just can't drink water with a meal.

Pop is appalling shite. I don't understand anyone who drinks it unless there is alcohol mixed in, or it's one of those once-every-six-month type cravings I get for root beer (which I satisfy with a can, not a 4L bag that comes in a box). It's an affront to my taste buds.

That said, if you "just can't imagine drinking water with meals," why don't you try milk instead of diet pop? How can you even drink coke with rice or vegetables or potatos or pretty fuckin much anything, anyway?

I can't drink milk anymore because I'm lactose intolerant. I even take a swig of it and I'll have gas all fucking day. If I want something besides pop I'll get tea or juice. I grew up on pop though. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. I can drink it anytime.
