yeah, that's true for all copy protection schemes, only people who legitimately buy the games have to suffer the idiocy of always having to have the game CD in the player, despite the entire game already sitting there on the HDD.
The more you think of it, the stupider it is. I mean, imagine if you started up MS Word or Photoshop and you got a dialogue saying "Please insert CD1" before you could use the application. Fucking stupid I say. People would never stand shit like that for an ordinary PC application, but somehow it's all ok with games, unless you want to go straight to usenet or a torrent site to download a no-cd patch for the legitimately bought and paid for game you just installed. The only thing that's doing is fucking people who actually buy games straight in the ass.
