Email deletion problem

With WIndows 98, I cannot seem to delete email that are in my inbox. Is there an easy fix for this?

This has just started to happen for no apparent reason.

i dident know that windows 98 did e-mails, i thaught outlook or another program like that did that kinda stuff.

Er sorry for the offtopic post but why 98? Why not XP pro or Linux?

Because this is on an older computer that cannot handle XP
