I wonder if that e-mail could have said that even though that day will never happen again it is also infinite...
Jesus, WTF are you even trying to say right here? Can you even understand it if you read it a second time?
Every moment is still in time so it's sort of infinite. So even though it will never happen again, if you get all metaphysical with that shit you might also say that the moment although unique is infinite. You fucking unoriginal bastard.
No, he's not un-original. The context in which you are using the concept of infinity makes no sense. Maybe you are using the wrong word to describe your idea.

Don't overlook the likely possibility that he's just really fucking stupid.

well the official notation is year/month/day actually. you're supposed to count it just like you would any number (or time for that matter).
every 30 days the month moves up, and every 12 months the year moves up
makes sense, really

heh.. and the only time I've ever come across that worldwide standard year/month/day notation is doing a search just there to find out why the americans write their dates as month/day/year ;p

amused me slightly

dunno why. most likely because the year is a given so its not nessecary to mention that first, or at all.

Well, we generally say "February 16th," not "the 16th of February" so it makes sense that the month would come first in shorthand. The year is 9/10 times irrelevant because it only changes once a year...
