For student loans?
I had mine done by Student Loan Finance Corp., but that's because they had bought the loans from the school, and they offered to consolidate.
No problems with them, though.

MBNA loans, are decent depending on your credit rating.
Odd enough I consolidated all of our debt/loans onto my Amazon.com card (Chase Bank)
I called to cancel the card after signing up to just get $30.00 of my first purchase, which was Doom III. The offered me 1.9% for the life of the balance... cant beat that

Just never use those consumer credit services.
Any of them...those debt reduction places that broker deals with your creditors.

It'd be helpful to know about what kind of debt you're talking about.
