Because it's so much longer than it is tall, it's hard to make it fit within decent icon dimensions and still retain a decent size.

And if anyone wants to play with it further, here's a .gif version at original size:

By the way, that .jpg had an embedded color scheme that was really muddy. Doesn't look at all as nice as it does in a browser.

edit: bleh, that's jaggy. I can fix that...
