Disk Defragmenters
Well come two weeks from now, when I have a week off, I am going to be reinstalling Windows, it is quiote bogged down. I have been using Diskeeper 10, but have been less then pleased. I think it is causing more system slowness then helping, perhaps if I just did defrags when I specified and not on a schedule like when screensaver is on it would be better. However, I am wondering what you guys use as a defragmenter.

Defragging seems barely necessary for myself. Maybe once every 6 months as a novelty but for the most part if you've got a drive for files and another drive for boot/programs, and your swap is a fixed size.... I don't think it's a big issue
My dad defrags every week and is practically obsessed with it. I think it's massively overrated for the tiny boost it can provide.
Doing it regularly probably does more harm than good.

Perfectdisk 7. :icon14: One of the best defraggers that can defrag the MFT and the registry too and things like that.
The shareware version extracts the setup files somewhere so that when the trial period expires, you can easily install it again without uninstalling first. :icon25: The program feels pretty lightweight to me.
