HD-DVD players are not supposed to be released yet i believe.Pauly wrote:Hmm a guy buying a DVD player and 2 films. Wow. What a great thread.
Jugg you cunt
Isn't it annoying how you cant see the difference between HD and normal DVD in screenshots. I know its bloody obvious but still, i always think im gonna find screenshots showing the difference then it hits home that theres no chance lol.
This much is true. A higher resolution doesn't always mean a better picture. For games HD can increase quality quite a lot because it IS a jump in resolution, so you get rid of jaggies. But with a film, its not going to be this ultra massive jump from SD to HD. It will be sharper, it will be better. But so much so that your gonna want to spend a few thousand on? No chance. (A grand for a decent TV, 300 for a cheap player and more money for even more new films?)plained wrote:its as good as its decided.
it is however a larger size .
a picture can look good or shit small or large
It just seems a waste of time. Im all for more space on DVD's, its just a shame they couldn't some how get standard DVD's to have a bigger file size. Then we wouldn't all need to upgrade AGAIN to a "slightly better" format.
Plus, its not just HD. With the BluRay Vs HD war going on, theres gonna be a shit load of wasted money in the next few years...
