imo, no. of course, early adopters will tell you otherwise because they just shelled $500+ for a player sans movies.

HD-DVD players are not supposed to be released yet i believe.

Isn't it annoying how you cant see the difference between HD and normal DVD in screenshots. I know its bloody obvious but still, i always think im gonna find screenshots showing the difference then it hits home that theres no chance lol.
They are advertising it in todays bestbuy adds for 499, like they have tons to sell.. :paranoid:
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

So HD-DVD is available now to buy now pretty much?

Ill look into it when the players come down in price/size or when the 360 gets its external drive.

the real crime in this thread is that he looks happy to be the owner of "phantom of the opera" and "the last samurai" ... both of which are completely shit movies.

crimes indeed. then again, usually the crap movies (blockbusters) are released first on new formats to appease the masses and the better flicks sure to follow. patience, my dear watson.

sure; If you're into the whole "tom cruise acting like tom cruise in a completely ficticious wannabe historical nonsense piece, crowded with cliche characters, situations, and a plot more transparent than a hooker's motive." scene.

On the other hand, if you can get over that, it's a great movie.
