Personal Rattlesnake record

Post by +JuggerNaut+ »

3 in one day.

was trail running today on both Mormon Loop and National trails at South Mountain in PHX (comprised of 17,000 acres and 58 miles of trails) and came across three - all different locations.

two were Western Diamond Back Rattlesnakes and one was (i have no idea)

Image

longest one was about 4.5 foot (1.37m). not spectacular, but big enough.

Awesome. :icon14:

Hiking in this area you might occasionally hear an Eastern Diamondback... but it's rare to actually see one.

I think they're the only rattle snakes we have around here. :/

I kill a few of those every summer at work. My brother has killed a couple already. 4.5 foot is not small.

Well that may be small for the average there anyway. No idea. Around here that's pretty decent sized snake. A 6 footer is fairly rare in this area.

The human mind is a funny thing. The first thing to pop into my head was a picture of Juggs (complete with mouth open and pointing pose) with a snake that was tied up in a knot in front of him like a rodeo record or some shit.

I was thoroughly disappointed by this thread. :icon5:

no, it had a green tint to it, but definitely had a rattler attached to his rear.
