cd key missing

My friends' friend wanted to test Q3, so I let him have my copy for a while. Later on I got it back, but the asshat returned only the disc, not cover where the cdkey was. In the meanwhile I have uninstalled Q3 and formatted my hard drive, so I don't have the key anymore, anywhere.

AFAIK that 'tard has not been online. I was previously a few times. Guess I have to buy Q3 again now, right?

if you intend on playing online then yes you do

I recommend that you create a word document and keep all your CD keys there incase you lose any more cases

he may still have the cd key on his pc, no?

If he updated it would be in a file called q3key in the baseq3 file. (open with notepad or wordpad)

If he didn't upgrade it's in the q3config file somewhere. (open with wordpad)
