when i use the all seeing eye to join a game, it only has my old screen name.

you set the name in ASE's preferences.

Dunno, you set it. Options menu I presume.

Tools---> Set name

You probably set it at Tools->Options->Games->Quake III Arena->Player name. Blank it out to keep the name you set in Q3.
