Dual displays?

Post by YourGrandpa »

I've got dual 6800 GTXs and I want to run two monitors, showing the some thing. I know I can't run SLI and it must be disabled.

How do I get the following to work?

I want to play battlefield 2 on one monitor and display what I'm seeing on the other.

Does the game have to support this? Will the Nvida software let me do this, or do I have to get some other application?

IIRC there's settings in the nView control panel to keep 3d stuff on a single monitor. I couldn't point you straight to it as I haven't got 2 plugged in right now ;(

I don't think nView lets you clone 3D display.

Don't you have an old monitor you could hookup and test it with?

I'm going to spend a bit more time on it and let you know.

Well, I can do what I wanted to do with one video card. But I can't seem to find anything about cloning Monitor 1 on Video Card 1 onto Monitor 2 on Video Card 2.

I'm assuming you need some sort of software to do the above.

I'm still looking...
