I FINDED
awww it was fucking cracking
when we were nippers the council were just giving out wheelie bins (so we found a few which were clean)... then we found out if you tilt it on its back you can stick a pram wheel between the 2 handles (so you had like a 3 wheeler go kart)
no when you leaned to one side the handle would scrape and it would turn to which ever way you was leaning
you could fit about 4 kids per sleigh and rip up some decent speed..... an our lil area had about 5 biins in the race :]

Hahah- we did battle as well...
In the middle of the living room, an 8 x 4 oriental rug was the ring.
We'd take them to opposite sides then ram them into each other....
Oddly enough the only toy from those battles that still survives is a Mattel made (steel) Chevy trail blazer. The top is long since gone, and it has no front grill. And the front axel is warped.
...It's still in my closet. 
And Tonka does still make their steel line of trucks. :icon14: you just have to find them.
The plastic ones are for the weee little fellas.
