Icons in Colored Player Names?

I noted a few folks hanging out on servers that have player names with weapon icons in their names, i.e. like rockets or the rail.

I am wondering about this because it might interfer with stats tracking.

There is a Quake 4 name maker that allows for icons...I'll see if I can find a link...

As far as it effecting Stats Tracking. I gues it depends on the parser. MaxStats for Q4Max filters them out perfectly.

The icons are no more "weird" than color codes--if your stats tracker can deal with color codes then you shouldn't worry about icons.

I was thinking of AEstats++

But the code seems to be pretty straight forward, one just needs to do some extra filtering.
