play Q3 on a lan with different versions?

hi there,
does anyone know if it is possible to play quake 3 arena on a lan with different versions of the game?
ive got the 1.31 and the others have 1.1. version.
or is it only possible if they upgrade their versions?

Everybody needs the same version. 1.32 is the latest, btw.

Just upgrade everyone to 1.32. Its a free and easy to find download.
