Name change flooding

Post by Kaz »

Are there any settings I can change to avoid being disconnected when someone floods name changes? I've encountered perhaps the largest asshole ever who realized that he can kick me by doing a name-change bind. I'm on 56k... Any help?

ask the admin to enable

/sv_floodprotect 1
p.s. i hated this command because us hpb's miss some messages

or get the guy booted

not sure this will work but type
cg_centertime 0 next time he spams and see if this turns off name change message ,this may tuen off all messages though.

cg_noVoiceChats "0" possibly turn off the ability to hear voice chats
A
cg_noVoiceText "0"

Well I hope you get your issues the way you want them.
But why are you stuck on 56K?

My service kinda sucks.
I was on Rogers and getting great speed, but it was disconnecting 20 or more times a day.
Although it'd reconnect in a minute or two, it was fucking really annoying playing games.
Now I'm with Magma but getting shitty speeds.
On average it's 500 kpbs down and 90 kbps up.
I'm actually about half a kilometer outside the range of the office...or whatever they call it.
I could move somewhere closer, but really don't feel like moving.
