I learned that long ago.

The only thing I'd disagree with is where they say lactic acid doesn't cause soreness. The way I remember being taught, it causes the immediate pain you get while excercising, but the 3-4 day-later pain is from muscle wear-&-tear and bruising.

But it's been a long time since I took anat/phys, I don't remember it too clearly...

I used to drink it all the time when I was cycling... Never knew it was supposed to be bad, good thing it wasn't :p

That's strange, because in basic metabolism they show how lactic acid is formed and broken down to create energy. Its less efficient than glycolosys, but it still generates energy.

Um, no. Milk has lactose in it, not lactic acid. I think bacteria can metabolize lactose into lactic acid, but that would mean you're drinking rancid milk.
