The story of how to buy Q3 Arena

Actualy i was browing the web to find it online .I also looked everywhere in my town(montreal) and i did not find it .Most Vendor told me its discontinued.HURRAH .. I downloaded the pk3 files from a site but since i cant join most server .. i tryed to find it online and in my town without succees..Anyway .. Wont go into the detail but i wont spend 459834792374 gas to buy a 5 $ games .

The populated server use CD key authentificate .Why? Because they hate pirates?3 years ago it was OKAY . Because the game was everywhere for sell but not anymore .For the few gamer left why not welcome new Q3 gamer? and not boot them in the ass because they cant find this discontinued game anymore? ?

ALSo buying an Old quake 3 arena copy = bad idea . You dont buy it you buy the cd key .. Which mean the ex-owner of the game .. Can just copy-paste the PK3 Files and keep the Cd KEY and play online.Hell he can sale it 100000 time if he want .
If its a friend okay .. But on a site like amazon or ebay? HAHA no thanks

Blame the server administrator . .They run with AUthent cd key .They dont realize its a slam in the face to every new q3 Player.SInce they wont join any server..
Face it .. Pirates dont care anymore about quake 3 arena .. The only one who still play that game = The Reel Q player .Why not encourage them to play?Making it so they cant join 99.99 % of every server wont encourage them.THus , you can see Q3 die die die , but the only one to blame its you .. The !!! who cant run a server without that stupid key auth.

Now its not encouraging Pirates . .ITS ENCOURAGING Q3 TO CIE.. Oh and encouraging Johny at ebay who just sold 100000 Quake 3 game with the same CD key

I've bought it off of amazon before, and had no problems. Make sure when it says that it's still in the original wrapping, and get it from a decent source, and you shouldn't have a problem. And if you do, call and bitch. But like I said, a lot of the amazon sellers are decent, I didn't have a problem.

Also id sells the game via their online store, can't you buy it that way?

:icon14: I got a perfectly good used retail copy from eBay and another copy of the Gold edition from a similar site. I have been ripped of once at eBay though, which i could have seen coming, but it was just for 10 euros so i didn't bother to spend more time on it when the person didn't answer my e-mails.

You can still play on all of the pre 1.32 servers without a cd-key.
