Classic games you like

Post by Captain »

List some classic games you like and still play at times.

I haven't played any of these in over a year :tear:

-Commander Keen
-Ultimate Doom
-Doom 2
-Final Doom
-StarControl II
-Heretic - The Shadow of the Serpent Riders
-Raptor - Call of the Shadows
-Death Rally
-Stunt Car (lol)

Gameplay was amazing back then. Nowadays majority of games are pure shit.

I was never able to complete the final singleplayer race where you drive for the top spot on the Porsche test team in a '71 RS. Then I just gave up, lol.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

q3 was gay. No vehicles or radar or alt fire. Just a bunch of lamers bunny hopping around and using commands. :icon30:

hmm, I got threw the races just fine. It was those damn exhibition/gymkhana/autocross courses that pissed me off the most. specificly the one that has you do multiple 180's and 360's becuase it would rarely give me credit for doing them. :icon33:

I gave up on that one too when I played the game in 2002, however I desided to fire it up again last year and I smoked the Evolution era, twas easy as pie, just don't crash.

Been playing a bit of civ 3 recently, but it's far from being as awesome & infinately replayable as 2.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 is about the only one I play at the moment, and the Metal Slug games a bit, cause I

don't have a PC at the moment. I'd play more; should I list them?

I've got a modification to finish off and launch that makes the game more like Civ1, and I guess Civ2, once I

get a new PC sorted out. It'll be good. Damn, I should have finished it before my PC broke. There was just

one thing that was stopping me; a limitation in the game. I'm going to go back with it to before that

limitation was an issue, to just get it finished. There was so much more to that modification than that

limitation stopped. I'll get it finished and sorted out yet...

Limitation? What do you mean sir?

What i found weird is that the patch (which i understand fixes a whole lot of important stuff) won't install on my PC, while i've got a perfectly legitimate copy.

You can't access resources without roads, even if the city is right on top of the resource. This was an issue

cause I wanted to make the game have the option for doing things without the technology advance of road

building. I'm just going to give it with mining like it was before, I think. I think that's how it was

before. I'll see.

The patch you have might be not for the region version of your copy of the game. There's a UK version of the

site, for example.
