.mp3 audio codec?

.mp3 audio codec?

Some .mp3 files (from completely different sources) have the .mp3 file name, play in WinAMP and QuickTime, but don't play in WMP.

Any idea what codec this is?

iirc WMP doesn't like .mp3's encoded by some software. don't recall which ones, but really it doesn't matter since WMP sucks.
