Friendly Reminder

Post by ForM »

Do everyone you know around you a super HUGE favor. I dont care how old you are, or how young you are. Just do your parents, your sisters and wives, your brothers and dads, a HUGE HUGE favor, buy makeing a last will.

Even if its hand written and dated.

It would have made things so much easier if you do/done/had.

RIP little sister.

I can imagine loosing a grandparent or even a parent, and expect to have to go through it at some point.

But I can't imagine loosing a younger sibling.

So sorry man. :(

You all miss the point.

Make a will, even if its only hand written.

My sis was a single parent. She asked me when the daughter was about 3 months old to be the Godfather and if I would raise the child in the event of her demise. I said yes.

Now I got family members comeing out of the wood works saying thay want custody.

95% are fuckin worthless.

Even if you dont have much, you all still have bank accounts and crap that must be closed/paid off/ items.

And a kid is a very large problem if theres no documentation. At lest I have several witnesses to the conversation that took place over 7 years ago.

I know this is a bad thread about wake up calls.

Just do something about it for your own loved ones. Get them to do something about it also.

Its just a smart thing to do.

You may now get on with the uh uh no you no you fuck off posts.

edit: And thx for the words.

No, I didn't miss the point. I understand and agree with that. But that pales in comparison to losing a family member. That can all be dealt with in time. Yeah, I'm ready for the tidal wave of relatives that come out of the woodwork when some of my family dies.

I do plan on making out a will of sorts soon anyway. I do agree completely with the importance of having one no matter your age. I could easily be killed at work Tuesday.

I agree, Form. My girlfriend already has her living will made out, and she's 25. It's just a good idea to have it done, and not all that difficult to do, as long as you don't get too elaborate with it. I'm planning on doing mine sometime soon, once I figure out to whom I want to give power of attorney, etc.

At the same time, though, I'll echo everyone else's condolences. Sorry, man. :(
