Good freeware antivirus program?
Link to the FREE edition (which i highly recommend!):

It's a great program. I recommend disabling the 'certify e-mail' function of the e-mail scanner though, if you don't want AVG to mark every mail you send with something like this:
"No virus found in this incoming message.
Checked by AVG Free Edition.
Version: 7.1.375 / Virus Database: 268.2.1/279 - Release Date: 3/10/2006"

There are a few more free anti-virus listed in the T&T links list ( Stickie ) also.

I've used clamwin before and it seemed pretty decent. In fact, I was thinking about using it again.§ìgñå wrote:hey while were on the subject, someone try this one out and see how it is.

Antivir isn't bad. AVG's trojan handling capabilities are...lacking.
AVG Free all the way. Just update it everyday and you're set! I also suggest using it with Windows Firewall and Defender.

Trojans are extremely easy to avoid since they're always ready to jump out of porn sitesTormentius wrote:Antivir isn't bad. AVG's trojan handling capabilities are...lacking.

Avast, I dropped AVG in favour of it.

Just a shame about the shitty PowerDVD lookalike interface, that aside it's great.
