Good freeware firewall?

Post by Guest »

What's a good freeware firewall?
I liked ZoneAlarm before but now it's 15 day trial only. Is it a good idea to get an old version from

http://www.oldversion.com or would that not be secure any more?

Edit: Arg! I just downloaded the latest version from oldversion.com and it's a 15 day trail aswell. Anyone know

which one isn't? Don't want to download them one by one and install them one by one...

I liked Kerio's free firewall but after the trial period some of the functionality gets disabled. Zonealarm makes me :puke:

Wrong.

IMO Kerio, Zonealarm, or the plain old XP firewall are all decent.

Yeah, I've used all three and they seemed fine.
