Now I've never had a console except for Nintendo back when I was a wee laddie. Couple days ago a friend of mine handed me his old PS2. At first it wouldn't read any discs - classic "Disc Read Error" screen. So I took it apart and rotated the disc gear and cleaned the lens with cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. Well, I got it to work. So I tested a DVD but halfway through it began skipping and freezing. When I pressed the reset button, it must've blown a fuse because it no longer turns on. I was able to take out the DVD though :icon32:
So where would be the best place to find a replacement fuse?
A broken PS2 on my hands
Id replace the fuse imo..axbaby wrote:tinfoil the fuse ..if it catches fire and burns the house down then you know at least you didn't waste 2 dollars on a fuse.
face it the machine is on it's last legs and not worth fixing
Tho, sounds more like a board went bad, and your gonna pay more for parts than a used ps2 would cost..
[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.
