Playing with Columns in Word

Hi, wondering about adding columns to a Word docment. I figure format, columns is a good place to start. The stuff I want to add is a bit big for the columns however.

Is there a way to make the white space [when you first open a word document] bigger. Is this a border setting?

And when I get to the end of a line in the first column and press tab, it doesnt always take me to the second column.


Any help is appreciated.

I think you're talking about margins. Type page margins into Word's help and you'll come up with a bunch of information on them.

Yes, actually I changed from portrait to landscape and now it works, kind of. It doesnt seem to want to copy and paste from one column to another properly
