~~Name problems~~

I have a problem. for anyone else that has NMS (name maker studio) i cant get the symboles on to of the list of letters,words,numbers,ect...to work everytime I try to put them on my player nothing happens and iv tryed the help option but i dont quite get it...help please?

create your name .. copy the code

start quake3 then open console then hit

control and v at the same time.. this will paste the code to your console .. press enter.

when you exit quake3 this new name will be in your q3config.cfg automatically.
OR
so it never gets overwritten create a new text file called autoexec.cfg and place that in your baseq3 directory.

paste the name code in that new file .

autoexec.cfg automatically gets used after q3config.cfg starts, replacing anything in q3config.cfg on quake3 start-up

the only part of that that MIGHT be confusing is the word "console". when you're in Quake III, press the tilde key "~" which is the key next to the number 1 key.

the rest is simple.

some of those funky symbols do not work in regular quake3 .. a mod like OSP "orangesmoothies mod" can use those symbols.

that's why they don't work as i just tested myself.
