Anyone ever had theirs replaced, or indeed done it themselves? Any ideas on prices from genuine companies? Theres lots on the net, but concerned about cowboy outfits fucking it up
I've done repairs on one. Hardest thing is opening the case without scratching it. Other than that, piece of cake.

Newertech has iPod batteries that are great. I got a replacement one for my G3 iPod and its worked great. I installed it myself, and I must say it was a bitch and a half to open the damn thing. I thought I was going to break the iPod or stab myself, etc. It was frustrating as all hell, but with persistence I managed to get it open and replace the battery without marring the case.
