ioq3 and q4 fails it

Basically both of them can not start, they just bomb to desktop without error, after the "initialization screen flash" (q4 gray, ioq3 white)

gffx5200 (fuck you my good card died), latest forceware. Yes, it worked on this spec before

Have you removed all traces of the previous drivers before downgrading to this card? Have you let Q4 create a new config based on this the 5200?

the drivers are all fresh and shtuff

what's odd, that ioq3 works only in my cluttered q3 and not in my clean one

okay, solved it

it was openal. the main reason ioq3 worked in my main q3 folder is because i had it disabled.
